1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using HeyGarcon (the “Extension” or “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use.
2. Description of Service
HeyGarcon is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that allows you to:
- Export AI conversations from supported platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Copilot) as Markdown or JSON
- Copy exported content to your clipboard or save it as a file
- Send exported content to another AI platform to get a second perspective
- Share conversation summaries by email
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.
4. Your Data
You retain full ownership of your AI conversations. The extension processes all content locally on your device. No conversation data is uploaded to our servers. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from browser storage being cleared, extension uninstallation, or device failure.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension in ways that violate applicable law
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content
6. Third-Party AI Platforms
HeyGarcon is independent of and unaffiliated with ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Copilot, or any other AI platform. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of those platforms. Their respective terms of service and privacy policies govern your use of those services.
7. Intellectual Property
The HeyGarcon extension, its design, and associated materials are our property and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for personal or internal business purposes.
8. Availability and Updates
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from such changes.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data or loss of profits.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HeyGarcon and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, any locally stored data on your device remains unaffected.
13. Governing Law
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties before formal legal proceedings.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
